All current WFMT Full Organizational Members are warmly invited to consider submitting a proposal to host the 2032 WFMT World Congress of Music Therapy.
Hosting a World Congress is a meaningful opportunity to welcome colleagues from around the world, celebrate the richness of music therapy in your region and help strengthen global connections within our profession. It can also bring valuable visibility and awareness of music therapy to your country and community.
World Congresses are typically held in metropolitan cities that are easily accessible from major international airports. If your organization is interested in exploring this exciting possibility, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Step 1: Submit a Letter of Intent.
Step 2: Develop a proposal in accordance with the WFMT Bylaws (Article VIII) and submit it to pastpresident@wfmt.info
Step 3: The Council will review your full proposal and contact you to clarify open questions (if needed).
Step 4: You might be invited to present your proposal to the Council and WFMT Membership.
Step 5: The Council will make a decision and inform you.
Submission Deadline: August 30, 2027
We look forward to receiving your ideas and to the possibility of bringing the global music therapy community together in your part of the world.
