Call for Recommendations for 2017-2020 Regional Liaisons

As we near the 2017 WCMT in Tsukuba Japan, the WFMT is looking to fill four Regional Liaison vacanices for the 2017-2020 term: Australia/New Zealand, Eastern Mediterranean, Europe, and North America. We invite all current 2014-2017 WFMT members to identify qualified colleagues and collaborate with them on submitting the candidate form below by 30 April 2017, 11pm (EST). Late and incomplete submissions will not be considered. Appointed candidates will be notified by the WFMT President following Council discussion at the 2017 WCMT.Please take time to

1. learn about the Regional Liaisons’ tasks, skills, and time commitment by reviewing the Council job descriptions;
2. choose your candidate and confirm residence in a country within the region to be represented (view listing here); and
3. collaborate with your candidate to submit the online nomination form (included below).

Per WFMT Bylaws Article V, Section 5.2:The Regional Liaisons are appointed by the Officers of the Council and Chairpersons of the Commissions at the Federation’s Council meeting before the World Congress. Theappointed Regional Liaisons must reside in the region they represent. All WFMT members are eligible to suggest a candidate of their region to the WFMT Council by a given date.
