I want to begin by congratulating Amy Clements as the new president of the Canadian Association for Music Therapy!

Congratulations also to CAMT for their successful national conference at the beginning of May. Following the success of all the regional conferences this spring, the American Music Therapy Association looks forward to its national conference in Atlanta, Georgia, November 16-20.

Final plans are now being made for the World Music Therapy Congress in Korea! I look forward to meeting many of you who will be traveling from so many different countries. I think that is one of the most exciting experiences when I attend these congresses – the opportunity to meet and learn from so many other music therapists. Safe journeys to everyone!

This will be my last blog entry as the North American Liaison -- I will stepping down from this and hopefully moving into a new position on the Council. I have been honored to represent music therapists from the United States and Canada.
